Configuring BusinessObjects

Once you have installed the BusinessObjects Enterprise software, there are a number of tasks and configurations to perform before you can start using it with Personify.

 

While most of the configuration steps are required, some are optional based on your organization’s security, report creation, and setup requests. Make sure to follow the steps in the order as displayed:

 

1.    Prepare the Central Management Console (CMC)

2.    Set Up the BusinessObjects Server

3.    Create a Universe Folder and Connection with the Designer Tool

4.    Assign the NUL License

5.    Implement Crystal Reports Processing Server Changes

6.    Determine the Destination Output

7.    Alter Authentication Preferences

8.    Import the Report BIAR File

9.    Update Parameters on Personify Configuration Screen

10.  Enable Report Messaging to Other BO Users

11.  Propagate Preferences

 

Optional steps include the following:

1.    Create an Admin User Account

2.    Set Permissions for BusinessObjects Enterprise Applications

3.    Add Your Organization’s Logo to Reports

4.    Implement the Business Objects Cluster
