Mobile Events Module

The Events module provides users access to a list of upcoming events, such as one-time meetings or multiple-session conferences, as determined by your back office setup. For more information, please see Back Office Configuration Options. Web services pull information from Personify into the mobile application. For more information, please see Configuring the Mobile Events Module.

The screenshot below is an example of what the users will see when they access Events. The events are listed in chronological order. Users can expand and collapse events by month and open events, conferences, and sessions. If the user is registered for a selected conference, he/she can view the conference attendees. Note that conferences with sessions will not display a price because each session may have its own price.

Note.pngIf you are logged in as a staff member, you will have access to the conference attendees and exhibitor functionality even if you are not registered for the event.

Note.pngMobile users cannot purchase meetings with subproducts (multiple sessions) from their mobile device.

By default, if users select a one-time meeting event from the Events list, the application takes users to an Event Details screen similar to the one of the right in the image above. The Event Details screen provides users with detailed information previously entered in the Product Maintenance > General Setup (PRODUCTCENTRAL) screen and the Product Detail section of the Product Central > Mobile Control screen of the Personify back-office.

This information can include the following, if setup:

·            Begin Date & Time, End Date & Time (When)

·            Location (Where)

·            Mobile Control Short Description

·            Price (events only)

·            Member Price (events only)

For one-time meeting events, users are given the following task options on the screen:

·            Save to Calendar – saves the meeting to a user’s calendar on their mobile device.

Note.pngThe Save to Calendar functionality is NOT available for the iPhone OS3.

·            Add to Cart – adds the meeting product to the user’s Mobile Shopping Cart. The user does not have to have a credit card on file to add a product to the cart.

·            Register for Meeting – allows users to purchase the meeting product. This option only displays if the user has a credit card on file in the Personify database.

Note.pngNeither of the above options will display is the user has already registered.

For event conferences with break-out sessions, users are given the following task options:

·            View Conference Details – displays all conference session by date and time.

·            Save to Calendar – saves the meeting to a user’s mobile device.

The conference details screen also includes, by default, four buttons at the bottom of the screen.

·            Schedule – The Schedule displays a list of possible meeting sessions  associated with that conference. Sessions are displayed by date and time. Users can search this listing by session name and apply filters by category.

If users click on a session, the application takes them to the Session Details screen similar to the one below
.Conference_open.png
This screen provides users with detailed information for the specific session just as the Event Details screen does for the meeting parent product.

By clicking Add to Calendar, users can add the session to their mobile device calendar.

·            My Agenda - Clicking My Agenda takes the user to a list of the meetings/sessions they registered for or added to their agenda. Users may also add their own personal appointments or other information on this screen. By design, the My Agenda functionality will allow a user to add conflicting sessions to their agenda. My Agenda is not available for users defined as a staff member.

·            Exhibitors – Clicking Exhibitors takes users to a list of all the exhibitors registered for a booth at that particular meeting. Exhibitors are listed alphabetically. User’s can view a specific exhibitor’s booth number, location on the map, contacts, and products by selecting an exhibitor from the list.

Note.pngLinking exhibitors to meetings is set up through the Personify back office. For more information on this, please see Linking Exhibitor Floor Mappings.

·            Attendees – This button only displays if the user has registered for the conference. Clicking Attendees takes users to a list of everyone that has currently registered for that conference. Users can search by registrant name, as well as add a contact to their mobile device address book and request to exchange contact information.
