The illustration below provides a high-level overview of the Personify/Lyris ListManager workflow:

Before creating an email list in Personify to send to ListManager, you must first create a master list of all Personify customers in order to take advantage of Lyris’ segmentation feature. A “segment” in Lyris is a subset of the master list based on some given criteria (for example, all customers who live in Maryland). This is known by Lyris as database segmentation because Lyris uses SQL clauses to filter the data and arrive at the subset.
The following scenarios are presented in this section:
· Prerequisite: Creating a master list via Marketing List Maintenance (MKT002).
· Scenario 1: Creating an email list as a segment via Marketing List Maintenance (MKT002).
o Personify generates and regenerates the email list through the List Maintenance (MKT002) screen and the Upload Personify List into Lyris (MKT810) process. You can set a schedule for Personify to periodically transfer the email list to the Lyris ListManager. The Lyris ListManager controls whether or not an email is sent to the individuals included on the list.
· Scenario 2: Sending emails to List Recipients using the List Production Control (MKT006) screen.
o The MKT006 screen sends email lists to Lyris. The screen will not perform this task more than once for each keycode.
