The Order Financial Analysis screen allows you to view the financial picture of a customer by starting at the level of the receipt and working down. Click on the customer number to access the customer details.
To view order financial analysis:
1. On
the Order Entry screen, select the Tasks
tab.
The task bar displays.
2. Click
Show Financial Analysis from the Enter Payment Information task
category.
The Order Financial Analysis screen displays, as shown below.
3. To view the entire order, select the Entire Order radio button.
4. To view the order by line item, select the Filter by Line Item radio button and then select the Line from the drop-down. The screen displays the details of the appropriate line item.
5. To create a refund for the line item, click Create Refund. See the appropriate Refunding an Order section for more information.
6. To write off a balance, click Balance Write-off. See the appropriate Writing off a Balance section for more information.
7. On
the Financial Transaction Detail tab (shown below), expand the appropriate
rows to view the active transactions associated with the order.
a. For more information on the transaction, highlight the transaction and click Transaction Detail.
b. To display associated transactions, click Expand All Rows.
c. To only display the line items, click Collapse All Rows.
8. On
the Invoice Summary tab (shown below), review the invoices associated
with the order.
At least one line must be overpaid in order to click Auto Adjust Distribution. When you click this button, the system will distribute payments first based on pay priority (subsystem and product), and then in order by order line number, ascending (respecting current amount due if there's a payment schedule).
9. On
the Distribution Summary tab (shown below), review the summary of the
GL account distribution.
10. Click Save.
