MKT800 – Blast Email and Fax
This batch
process sends blast e-mails or faxes and generates mailing labels
for purchased target customer/prospect lists.
As
of 7.4.1SP1, emails sent via MKT800 can now be seen on the System Activities
and Activity and Contact Tracking screen in CRM360. For more information,
please see Adding
a System Activity to a Constituent's Record in CRM360.
When a list communication is created, an optional fundraising
parameter can be set to create an appeal activity by selecting the Create
Appeal Activity checkbox. On the Job Parameters tab of the Job Submission
screen for MKT800, if the Key Code selected has the Create Appeal Activity
checkbox selected, the Appeal Activities tab on the Appeal Definition
and Maintenance screen will be automatically populated.
Additional parameters were added in the 7.2.1 release
to accommodate Address Change Service functionality. Please see Address
Change Service for more information.
MKT800
needs to create one record in Fnd_Appeal_Activity. Activity "detail"
records for the customers selected by MKT800 need to get created in Cus_Activity,
not Fnd_Appeal_Activity_Detail.
As
of 7.4.1SP1, for contact tracking records created via MKT800, the system
will default the Person Contacted to the Last Name, First Name of the
customer on the record.
