Defining Umbrella Product e-Business Control

To add e-business Control for an Umbrella Product:

1.    After you have created an Umbrella Product, select Products > Products Central.

2.    Search for and select the Umbrella Product you created.

3.    Select the eBusiness Links task category and click eBusiness Control, as shown below.

4.    Click Add e-Business Control, as highlighted below.

The following e-business Control screen will display, as shown below.

5.     In Display Settings, define the following:

a.    Display on Web: defaults to checked when "Add eBusiness Control" is clicked. Check this if you would like the product to display on the web.

b.    Add to Cart: defaults to checked when "Add eBusiness Control" is clicked. Check this if you would like to give customers the ability to add this product to their online shopping cart.

c.    Allow Bill-Me: check this if you would like to allow the “Bill-Me” feature.

d.    Web Display Dates: specify the date on which you would like the product to begin displaying on the web and optionally, the date on which you would like the product to stop displaying on the web.

e.    Product URL: define the appropriate product URL.

f.      Web Shipping Message: select the appropriate shipping message to display to your customers from the drop-down menu. This applies to Non-umbrella Products that will be available on the web.

6.    In Promotional Settings define the following:

a.    Featured Product: check this if the product is a featured product.

b.    Display Umbrella Web Sale Pricing?: check this if you would like to display web sale pricing for this umbrella product.

c.    Featured Product Dates: optionally, you can select featured product beginning and end dates

d.    Umbrella Sale End Date: optionally, you can select an end date for a sale umbrella product.

e.    Sort Order: define the sort order of the umbrella product.

f.      List & Member: Define the Umbrella Comparison Amount and Range Max Comparison Amount for List customers, as well as for Members. List is required when Display Umbrella Web Sale Pricing? is checked.

7.    The Brief Description Text field is a read-only field. In order to define the Brief Description Text:

a.    Select eBusiness Links and click Brief Description, as highlighted below.

b.    Click Add.

c.    Select a Language from the drop-down.

d.    Click Edit Text.
The HTML Editor Dialog screen will display,  as shown below. .

e.    Select either Design Window or Code Window and type your desired text in the box

f.      Click OK when you are finished.

g.    Click Save.

8.    The Long Description Text field is a read-only field. In order to define the Long Description Text.

a.    Select eBusiness Links and click Long Description, as highlighted below.

b.    Click Add.

c.    Select a Language from the drop-down.

d.    Click Edit Text.
The HTML Editor Dialog screen will display,  as shown below.

e.    Select either Design Window or Code Window and type your desired text in the box.

f.      Click Save.

Note.pngThe Maintain Product Images screen is viewable only after e-Business controls have been saved.

To view your Setup Summary:

1.    Click the Setup Summary tab.
The Setup Summary screen displays, as shown below.

2.    The following Product Relationships will be displayed:

·            Product Relationships

·            Customer Relationships

·            Role Relationships

3.    The following Categories will be displayed:

·            Categories

·            Related Files

·            Promotional Pricing
