Migrating Documents to Another Environment

Using the Personify BOE Synchronizer, you can migrate Webi documents from one environment to another environment. For example, you can migrate a document from the Test to Production environment.

This step only applies to migrating between Test and Production environments or upgrading to a newer version of either Personify or BusinessObjects.

It is not necessary for fresh installations.

To migrate documents:

1.    Log in to the CMC.

2.    Copy the documents from the test folders to the production folders.

3.    Open the BOE Synchronizer.

4.    Click Webi Universe Connection from the Main menu.

5.    Check the desired Webi Document folder(s).

6.    Click Validate Webi.
BOE Synchronizer validates the provider; any errors are displayed in red.

7.    Click Update Report Data Provider.
The report is moved to production.
