PDEV – Development Database

This database should be used by both your developers and TMA Resources. TMA Resources should only use this database to do their Database Designer changes, while your organization should use the database to perform development work.

Any Database Designer work should be done using this database. Your organization should also use this database for any other custom development. Any custom development work done by TMA Resources should be done in their own environment.

Steps for any database changes done by TMA Resources or your organization's developers:

1.    Make changes to the PDEV database using the Personify Database Designer.

2.    Submit/publish the changes to generate the DLL.

3.    Your organization reviews all changes.

4.    TMA Resources takes the export.

5.    Check in the script to your source control repository (see “Source Code Repository”for more information).

6.    Run the script in the TMA Resources development environment (applies to TMA Resources only)

7.    Run the script in the PTEST environment.

Database Designer test work should not be done on this database. Any changes made on this database should be submitted, published, and then reviewed by your organization before moving them to the PTEST database.
