The alternate key codes listed in this section are used to encompass characters from languages that are not represented on the standard keyboard.
To enter alternate key codes (ALT Keys), hold down the “ALT” key and enter the code for the character you want (found on the following pages). On laptops, you need to hold down the blue function key and then use the numbers within the keyboard, not across the top, to get numeric values.
For example, to enter the character “å”, press and hold the ALT key while entering 0229 on the numeric 10-key pad. The å code appears on the screen.
Alternate
