Using Multiple Currencies in Personify e-Business

Beginning with the 7.1.3 release, Personify allows your organization to host multiple portals so you can support a different currency on each portal. Users on Personify 7.3.1 and above, also have the option of setting up a single portal to support multiple currencies. Setups for multi-currency in e-Business are done on the Personify - Site Settings page and with the Personify ChangePreferredCurrency web module. All setups for multi-currency (adding currency types, currency symbols, etc.) are done in the Personify back office.

 

The Portal Settings section of the screen now includes a column listing the currency used by each portal on your site. All products that are viewed within this portal will have their prices converted from the Org Unit’s base currency to the portal’s currency and products will be sold using the portal currency.

To set up the Personify - Site Settings web module:

1.    After logging in as the host, click Personify Admin from the e-Business toolbar.

2.    Click the pencil next to the default server information under the Site Settings section.
The Personify Database Connection settings display as shown below.

3.    In the Personify Database Connection section enter the appropriate information:

·            Association Name

·            Environment Name

·            Application Type Name

·            Version Name (this should be the same as the installation database)

·            Database Name

·            Login

·            Password

4.    Click Update.
