TRS FAQ

1.    Question: Why does a submitted job continue to show its status as New?
Answer: There are a number of possible solutions available:

·            Check if the TRS caching and TRS services are running

·            Try restarting TRS caching and TRS services in that order

·            Go to Personify ' Reporting ' Job Queue setup. Query the queue record and make sure Queue1 has the “Active” and “Default Queue” options selected. If you change any values, restart the TRS service.

2.    Question: Why can I view the TRS job’s report output, but not the job log or DBG log?
Answer: Go to the Configure and Verify Interface screen (APP014) and click “Setup Global Parameters” under BusinessObjects Enterprise. Make sure the TRSOUTPUTPATH parameter value is set correctly. If you change the value, restart the personify application, resubmit the job, and try viewing the log output.

3.    Question: Why can’t I view the report output?
Answer: Please refer to the BusinessObjects FAQ for solutions.

4.    Question: Why can’t I see any default user setups when I go to the job submission screen?
Answer: The default user setup has not been populated for your current organization and Org Unit ID. To do so, go to Personify and type “syncboeandtrs” in the command line, and press Enter. Select the appropriate organization and Org Units and click “Copy setups for Org. Units” and then click “Copy Setup”. This takes less than a few minutes to populate all the default setups.

5.    Question: Why does the CCP610 settlement process not settle credit card transactions?
Answer: There are a number of possible solutions available:

·            Check to make sure TRS interface service is running.

·            Check to make sure the TRS interface service is able to communicate with PayFlow Pro (formerly VeriSign).

·            Go to the Configure and Verify Interface screen (APP014) and click. If the payment handler is PayFlow Pro (formerly VeriSign), click Configure VeriSign and make sure the key folder parameter value mentioned is correct. Make sure the keys are located in the TRS server in this specific folder.

6.    Question: The CUS530 batch address validation process could not validate the address.
Answer: There are a number of possible solutions available:

·            Go to Personify ' System Admin ' System Codes. Query Type as ADDRESS_INTERFACE. Highlight the “UNIVERSAL_CODER” line and click “Edit Codes for this Type”. Verify that thee “Active” check box is selected. If you change the value, save and restart the application.

·            Go to Personify ' System Admin ' System Setup ' Country and State Code Setup. Query Country as USA. Make sure the Interface field has “UNIVERSAL_CODER”.

7.    Question: When I submit the TRS job, the Crystal Report execution fails and the log has an incomplete user name. How do I fix this?
Answer: Check the BusinessObjects parameter values in the APP014 screen. Also, make sure the Org ID and Org Unit ID have the values as “STARTUP” and not the actual Org IDs in the app_interface_parameter table.

8.    Question: When I open/run an Operational report or TRS report, part of the report runs off the right edge of the page. How can I fix this?
Answer: To correct the page layout, follow the steps below.

a.    Log in as an Administrator to the server with BusinessObjects installed on it.

b.    Create a default printer.

c.    Open the Central Configuration Manager (CCM).

d.    Stop the Server Intelligence Agent.

e.    Right-click “Server Intelligence Agent” and select Properties.

f.      On the Properties tab, uncheck the “System Account” checkbox.

g.    Enter the Administrator’s User ID and Password in the appropriate entry fields and click OK.

h.    Start the Server Intelligence Agent.

i.      Re-run the report.

9.    Question: How can I make my TRS reports print automatically?
Answer: To set up your TRS reports to print automatically, follow the steps below.

a.    On the Printer Setup screen (TRS004), enter the printer name and UNC path and check the Active checkbox. Make sure to use the printer’s virtual name as the printer name and the actual name for the UNC path.

b.    Verify that the same printer is installed on the TRS server and set as the default printer.

c.    Open the Job Parameter Setup screen for the specific TRS job and set the Printer parameter to the printer you entered as the default for the TRS server.
