1. Question: When I click Refresh on the dashboard, it does not refresh the latest data. How can I fix this?
Answer: Clicking Refresh currently fires the XML queries again, but does not refresh the data in the analytic. This is a known issues with BusinessObjects Xcelsius and is intended to work as designed in upcoming BusinessObjects Xcelsius releases (not known at this point).
To view the refreshed data in an analytic, TMA Resources recommends closing out of the application and re-launching it so the XML query can fire again and bring in the refreshed data.
2. Question: Is there any way to make my dashboard load faster?
Answer: The dashboard displays data when the underlying report gets executed. The report may take time in execution depending on the data being pooled. TMA recommends scheduling such reports, so the dashboards can pick the latest instance and thereby load faster. While scheduling these reports, make sure they do not have parameters. If they have parameters, make sure to provide them with the appropriate values.
