Inserting Workflow Objects

As mentioned earlier, when you select to Add a workflow, the Workflow Designer opens as a new file with only a Start and Stop icon on the canvas. The arrow that connects the two icons acts as the direction of workflow.

In order to add a Designer Object onto the workflow, you must “drag” the specific icon from the tool bar on the left and “drop” the icon onto the workflow line. This means to hold your cursor down on the icon as you move your mouse over to the workflow line before releasing the cursor.

Make sure to drop the icon at the point in which you want the object’s rule to employ. Once you move your mouse over the workflow line, the cursor changes to the pointer symbol confirming the icon’s connection to the line and allowing you to drop it on the workflow.

Note.pngYou can only add icons directly onto the line of workflow. The application does not allow you to add “orphan” icons onto the free space of the canvas.
