The View Job Log option accesses the Report Viewer screen and a report of the common and job parameters, the job files, and the “Select” statements used for SQL. Each job creates a log that contains information such as the main query used by the process, the total number of records created/updated, and the technical error message if the job failed.
If a job has failed, you can view the job log to see exactly what problem occurred. One common problem that causes jobs to fail is that the filter criteria in the screen are not accurate. Please contact your system administrator to correct any possible errors.
To view the job log, click View Job Log from the Standard Tasks task category. The Job Log displays on the screen.
