These patches need to be applied in the server where you have installed the BusinessObjects Server software.
To upgrade BusinessObjects XI 3.1 to Service Pack 2:
1. Create a folder named BO_SP2_TEMP under Program Files on your BOE Server.
2. Navigate to the following file path in the Personify Installation package:
Business Objects\Software Upgrades from BusinessObjects.
This contains the zip file for Service Pack 2.
3. Unzip boXI3.1win_sp2.zip to BO_SP2_TEMP.
4. Double-click setup.exe to install BusinessObjects Service Pack 2.
Follow the Installation Wizard.
5. Navigate to the following file path in the Personify Installation package: Business Objects\Software Upgrades from BusinessObjects.
This contains the zip file for the BO XI 3.1 SP2 client software.
