BusinessObjects Live Office XI 3.1 (Live Office) consists of client components and the server component. The server component is installed automatically with BusinessObjects Enterprise Premium. They must be installed on each machine that will be using Live Office functionality.
The Live Office Installation Wizard works with Microsoft® Windows® Installer to guide you through the installation process. The wizard automatically recognizes your computer’s operating system and checks for software platform requirements. It updates files as required.
To install the client component:
1. Unzip LiveOffice.zip to your desktop.
The zip file is located in the release package at the following file path:
Business Objects/Software Upgrades from BusinessObjects.
2. Locate the setup.exe file for Live Office on your desktop and double-click it to launch the Live Office Installation Wizard.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions in the Live Office Installation Wizard to complete the installation procedure.
Optionally, you may run the setup in the silent mode by running the LiveOfficeSetup.bat file located in the same folder of the release package as the LiveOffice zip file. Before running the batch file, make sure to modify the server name in the batch file in two locations.
