Once you have created the necessary database, user, and data source name, you can now install the BusinessObjects Enterprise application.
To install BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 3.1 SP2:
1. Insert your BusinessObjects Enterprise CD into your CD drive.
The installation begins and the autorun feature asks you to select an installation language.
2. Select the desired installation language (English by default) and click OK.
The setup window appears.
3. Click Next to continue the Setup wizard.
The License Agreement screen appears.
4. Read and accept the license agreement by selecting the radio button for “I accept.”
5. Click Next.
The Select Client or Server Installation screen appears.
6. Select Perform Server Installation and click Next.
The User Information screen appears.
7. Enter your Full Name, Organization, and Product Keycode.
Remember that your Product Keycode is client/environment specific. If you do not have one, please contact your TMA Resources representative.
8. Click Next.
The Directory Selection screen appears.
9. Specify the destination folder and click Next.
You may choose a different drive other than C if you do not have enough space in this drive. The Install Type screen appears.
10. Select New and Use an existing database server.
11. Click Next.
The CMS Database Information screen appears.
12. Uncheck the Auditing Database box.
13. Click Browse under the CMS database and select the CMS database you created prior to installation.
14. Click Next.
The Choose Web Component Adapter Type screen appears.
15. Check Java application server.
16. Select Install Tomcat application server.
17. Click Next.
The Configure Tomcat screen appears.
18. Change Connection Port to 80.
19. Click Next.
The Start Installation screen appears.
20. Click Next to start the installation.
